We built this halogen heater for those tight industrial spaces—the kind where you can’t waste a single inch, but you still need heat that hits hard and fast. This isn’t something you’d stick in your living room. It’s a serious workhorse, built to deliver intense, focused heat right where you need it. Here’s the power behind it: a 300mm tube running at 2500W on a 400V supply. That combo was chosen on purpose. It packs a serious punch of heat into a small space. And the 400V rating? It’s a practical detail you’ll appreciate. It means you can run longer cables from the main panel without losing power, so the heater stays strong and steady right where it’s mounted. We went with an R7s connector for a simple reason: it’s the industrial standard. It locks the heating element in place, handles the current without getting hot under pressure, and keeps everything running safely. The tube itself is a halogen-filled quartz envelope, and it’s coated. That coating does a clever trick—it shifts the heat into the infrared spectrum. That means the heat penetrates deeper, and the outer glass stays much cooler. Less risk of accidental burns when you’re handling it. In practice, this setup gives you heat that ramps up fast and goes exactly where you point it. And when the tube eventually burns out? The R7s base makes the swap a breeze. Just pop in a new one and you’re back in business. Now, a heads-up. You’re getting a massive amount of heat from a very compact tube. That means the surrounding housing and wiring have to be built to handle those high temperatures, day in and day out. So proper mounting and giving it enough clearance isn’t optional. It’s essential.
