The Wall-Mounted Patio Heater: Instant Warmth, Straight to the Point
We built this wall-mounted patio heater for one reason: to give you direct, fast warmth right where you need it. Not gentle background heat. Not waiting around. It’s the kind of comfort you feel the second you step under it—like a personal sun that shows up on demand.
Power, Voltage, and Size: Keeping It Simple
At the heart of it is a high-intensity halogen quartz tube—usually rated at 2500W. We pair it with either a 230V or 400V supply, so the current stays sensible and the wiring stays manageable. The tube is about 300mm long, and that’s intentional. It focuses the infrared heat into a tight beam, so you get a lot of warmth in a small footprint. It’s fast. Really fast. No waiting for a blower to push air around. You feel the heat almost immediately.
What It’s Made Of—And Why It Holds Up
The quartz envelope is built for real life. It handles quick temperature swings and shrugs off weather shocks without getting fragile. Inside, the halogen fill helps keep the filament temperature steady, so the heat stays consistent over the life of the lamp. And the coating on the tube does something smart: it filters out the harsh glare while letting the infrared energy through. So you get the warmth—without the blinding brightness. For hookup, it uses an R7s connector at both ends. It’s straightforward, solid, and makes mounting feel quick instead of fiddly.
Why This Design Works (and What to Keep in Mind)
Mount it on a wall and it throws directional warmth right where people sit—without taking up floor space. It starts up instantly, delivers radiant heat right away, and installs about as easily as a light fixture. Here’s the trade-off:because the heat is concentrated, you need proper clearance and good ventilation. Add a thermostat and a protective guard, and you get comfort that feels repeatable—and a heater that’s built to stick around.
